Skyworks Announces Formation of Advergame.com™
Hackensack, NJ- April 26, 2005 – Skyworks Technologies, Inc., the leading provider of advergames and one of America’s top 100 interactive advertising agencies, today announced the formation of Advergame.com™, a wholly-owned subsidiary that will continue to expand on Skyworks’ pioneering expertise of providing custom client-branded advergames to Fortune 1000 clients.

“The explosion in interest in advergaming over the last year and the evolution of Skyworks Technologies, now celebrating our 10th year, has dictated that we create a separate business unit to focus exclusively on this rapidly growing segment of our business.” said Garry Kitchen, Skyworks Founder and CEO.

“With the massive shift in consumer attention to the Internet, advertisers are finding that traditional print and television advertising are not as effective as they once were”, said Kitchen. “In a cluttered online advertising environment, our clients have found custom developed, client-branded online games to be an effective way to engage consumers and promote their brands within immersive branded entertainment experiences. Advergames are a form of advertising that consumers actively seek out whereas most other forms of advertising repel consumers.”

“I’m pleased to announce that Alan Miller, Vice President of Business Development, and Mike Vann, Vice President of Sales, will share responsibility for achieving the revenue targets of advergame.com.”, continued Mr. Kitchen.

Mr. Miller joined Skyworks in 2001 and is a recognized pioneer in the interactive gaming industry, having previously co-founded Activision, the first independent video game publisher, as well as co-founding and serving as CEO of game publisher Accolade, acquired by Atari in 1999.

Mr. Vann is a seven-year veteran of the advergaming industry. He joined Skyworks in 2004 after serving as Vice President of Sales for advergame developer YaYa. Prior to that, he was co-founder and Vice President of Business Development at BrandPlay Entertainment. Mr. Vann also served as Vice President of Sales at interactive television, technology, and content firm, ACTV.

In 1997 Skyworks created and launched the first and most successful brand sponsored games destination on the Internet. Skyworks’ client-branded gaming portals now attract millions of unique visitor each month. More than 40 million Skyworks client-branded games are downloaded each month from these portals and its clients' websites.

During the last 9 years, Skyworks has created over 300 unique custom client-branded games for some of the world’s leading brands, including: Abbott Labs, BMW, Campbell Soup, CNN/Sports Illustrated, Comedy Central, Eli Lilly, ESPN, Ford/Lincoln, FOX Sports, Mattel, Microsoft Network, MTV, Pepsi, Shockwave.com, Sporting News, Toyota, and many others.

Skyworks is experiencing rapid growth in other segments of its business, including game development for Nintendo and Sony handheld systems, cell phone game development, and the direct sales of games to consumers over the Internet.
